Thank you to everyone who has stood with me in this fight for workplace rights. Your support continues to send a message: parental leave isn’t a privilege—it’s a right.
Many of you know my story. After the birth of my child, I exercised my legal right to paternity leave in Japan. What followed was years of harassment, demotion, and eventually being fired by Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley. My case may have ended, but the problem hasn’t.
That’s why I’ve been working to keep this conversation alive—not just in courtrooms, but in boardrooms, books, and beyond. Recently, I co-authored Too Big to Care to highlight what happens when corporations put profits over people—and how real change is possible when companies prioritize fairness and sustainability.
But this isn’t just my fight. Every parent deserves the right to care for their child without fear of losing their job. Every employee deserves a workplace that values their well-being.
