We, the undersigned residents of Attard and the neighbouring localities,

Considering that a new road bypassing the village of Attard, known as the Central Link Project (PA/09890/17), is expected to decrease the number of vehicles driving through the core of the village;

Noting that as a result of this new road, vehicle emissions are expected to be reduced by about 13%;

Recalling that driving time through the area is expected to be reduced by 50%;

Recognizing that the needs of pedestrians, cyclists and other road users are being taken into consideration;

Affirming that a new road in the periphery of the village of Attard is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the core of the village;

Stress that the Central Link Project is of benefit to the health and well-being of the residents of Attard and neighbouring localities;

We therefore hereby wish to express our support for the Central Link Project.
