Tahlequah , the mother orca who carried her dead baby for 17 days in 2018, has lost “J61” her  baby who was born in December 2024 and is now carrying this baby mourning this lost. (There has also been another baby, J62, located on December 30th)

There are many threats that are killing orcas including excessive "research" ID photographing and experiments by many people/businesses! For many years, every one of the fluctuating 73 Southern Resident Killer Whale (SRKW)  has been subjected to repeated tests and experiments  to obtain ongoing medical records etc. (including invasive biopsies and more!) In 2016, one of the orcas who died from infection from a tracking dart was 20 year old “L95”.  Due to public opposition it was to stop but has secretly continued for over 10+ years.

Back Off! Let the Moms and Families raise their babies without constant violations of their rights for peaceful lives!
