500 signatures! It has been so heartening to see each of your names and read the comments that many of you have taken the time to write - such thoughtful, discerning, intelligent comments. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. The Norman Rockwell Museum is refusing to talk to the Boston Globe - they said they are aware of the situation and they have no plans to talk about it, issuing a generalized statement about the Museum's mission for free speech and scholarship. Their immovable stance on supporting this book and remaining silent about the matter is unprecedented and extraordinary. I have never heard of this happening at another American Museum.
