Thank you all for your time and support on this petition. We truly appreciate that!

On the 3rd of November 2022, a meeting with Lewisham Council and the school Headteacher was held at Rushey Green Primary School.

ALL PARENTS attending the meeting could express their concerns, previous issues with the school and opinions against the closure.
Lewisham Council was informed of the petition, and all signatures (over 400) were handed over.

We were not informed of any official channel to follow up on the outcome of the consultation. Still, it was said that all concerns would be considered, and the official decision would be made and informed by the 14th of December 2022.

In November 2022, two children attending the centre had their EHCP review entirely based on the closure, as if the decision had already been made.
The review decreased the number of SLT and ToD sessions.
Speech and Language Therapist decreased from 39 sessions to 4 sessions yearly.
Teachers of Deaf decreased from 39 sessions to between 3 - 6 sessions yearly.

We still believe that deaf children deserve and need more support than what was offered.

To this date( 9th of January 2023), we still have not heard a formal response from the school or the Lewisham Council on the consultation.
