It’s been a huge few weeks for Fair Growth Thornbury, and we’re excited to share what’s next.

1. We’re online! Our new website – www.fairgrowththornbury.com– is now live. It outlines who we are, the issues we face, our whole-of-activity-centre solution, and the many ways you can get involved or show your support. We have a mailing list, so please sign up if you want to stay across all the latest FGT news.
2. Our Strategy & Activity Committee is up and running. Eight local community members are now working together to plan and deliver key campaign activities. You’ll see us scaling up community engagement and advocacy efforts over the coming weeks.
3. We’re engaging directly with decision-makers, including directly with the senior planners and the Minister's office. FGT is now in contact with politicians from across the political spectrum to ensure our community’s voice is heard, and reflected, in the final plans for the Thornbury Activity Centre.
4. Refinement of our proposed plan. Following further community consultation and detailed assessments of traffic, parking, flood mapping and topography, we’ve refined our position very slightly. Hutton Street (west of the rail line to St Georges Road) is now included in the outer catchment under our proposed plan. The final version of our whole of Activity Centre plan is now available on the Our Solution page of our website.
5. We’re continuing to raise funds. Thanks to the generosity of local residents, we’ve already raised nearly $1,000 in our GoFundMe. These funds are vital for helping us scale up campaign activities and keep working hard to deliver the outcome the community wants and deserves. Thank you to all those who have donated to date!
