Ms. Taylor, an English teacher currently employed at Central Bucks High School South, is being transferred out of the building due to overstaffing for the next school year (2019-2020). This is due to the fact that she is lowest on seniority in the building. However, Ms. Taylor is a wonderful teacher, who deserves to stay and teach at the high school level, rather than being moved to a middle school. The movement of teachers for next year should be decided based off of teacher quality, rather than the number of years of employment. Ms. Taylor is extremely involved in the high school, and truly betters all of her students. It is unfair for a teacher so involved in the education of her students, along with other school activities, to be relocated while other teachers in the English department of the high school are barely involved, and provide an education of lesser quality than that provided by Ms. Taylor. She has truly changed the lives of all of her students, even those who do not take any of her classes. She has guided all of those who come to her for advice, and continues to make South feel like a second home to everyone she meets and teaches. Our school desperately needs an educator like Ms. Taylor. We need her to stay.
