Rebel Yell NOT Racer 75

Rebel Yell NOT Racer 75

The Issue

Rebel Yell, an out and back racing roller coaster, was designed by John Allen of the Philadelphia Tobbogan Company and opened in 1975 with Virginia's Premiere Themed Amusement Park, Kings Dominion. In 1977 it was featured in the motion picture Rollercoaster starring George Seagal and Henry Fonda. It was during promotions for this film that a group of men on a coaster marathon there at the coaster decided to form a club for roller coaster lovers. AMERICAN COASTER ENTHUSIASTS. That group has recognized Rebel Yell as a Coaster Landmark.

Now Kings Dominion has announced it will be changing the name to Racer 75! All of us signing think it should be kept Rebel Yell to keep its heritage as the legend it has become.
