It is time to stop enabling and encouraging one of the most unprofessional "journalists" (a stretch to say the least) in the Toronto Sports Media.

It seems like Jeff Veillette has spent years trying to annoy, anger, and enrage hockey enthusiasts in Toronto and beyond. From creating hate websites as a teenager, to directly harrassing players and mocking fans in the present, the attitude that Veillette shows to those surrounding him is, quite frankly, disgusting.

Despite all of this, Veillette's attempts at analysis gain significant exposure on TheLeafsNation.com, and he has media credentials with the Toronto Marlies, affiliate of the Maple Leafs.

This is a three tier petition.

To the owners of TheLeafsNation.com:

Please sever all ties with Veillette immediately. Several of his articles are on the edge of criminal harassment, his "analtyics" pieces frequently use misleading and fradulent facts, and he drags down the quality of your website, to the point of making people seek other sources for similar content.

To Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment:

Please remove Veillette's media credentials with the Toronto Marlies and blacklist him from returning or earning similar status with your other organization. It sets a poor standard to allow somebody who doesn't seem to take his status seriously (see petition photo), to have access. It sets a poor standard to allow somebody with no post-secondary (according to LinkedIn) schooling for journalism to have such access. It sets a poor standard to allow somebody who openly mocks his readers on social media such access. A quick look through interviews on the Leafs video portal shows little participation from Veillette anyway, so why does he have credentials?

Stripping them would raise your standards significantly.

To Everybody Else:

Please stop encouraging Veillette to act as he does. Harrassment is horrible, and Veillette's various forms of mockery and belittlement of users and even whole demographics is incredibly offensive. Do not engage with or help Veillette out with any endevors.
