Friends, our Members of Congress are going on a month-long vacation -- beginning at close of business Friday! Please take a moment today or tomorrow to reach out and make your voice heard. Tell them how this CDC dog ban is negatively impacting you, your friends, your family, your colleagues. 

Some recent developments:

• We're nearing 10k signatures on our petition. Thank you!
• The House of Representatives passed an amendment to give the CDC $3 million in additional funds to properly screen dogs at ports of entry and end this ridiculous ban!
• The CDC heard our concerns about their approval of only FOUR labs in the world to run the required titer tests, and today expanded the list of approved labs overseas to more than forty!

The CDC should not have lumped PERSONAL PETS in with dogs imported for sale. It's unfair to ask Americans overseas to potentially give up their dogs, or jump through impossible hoops just to get them home. Dogs and cats are essential to the mental well being of kids and adults serving abroad.
