I do not feel that the Star Trek franchise is in good hands right now sure it’s attracted a lot of viewers but I feel that it is loseing it’s heart and soul that made Star Trek so endearing.

Instead of the original themes about Travel into uncharted territory, exploring for answers to our questions about life, existence, for the very reason of being, Embracing other cultures, ideas, understanding how the universe works, where we going and for new questions that leads us to Journey onwords to the vast unknown. It has turn into (put it  simply) a aircraft with out a pilot.

Going all over the place with no idea on what direction it’s going to go with no real story arch. The name implies Discovery exploration but instead were given an over the top nonsensical flashy cheep imitation of “Star Wars”.

“To Explore strange new worlds to seek out new life and new civilizations to boldly go where no one has gone before…” that’s what direction Star Trek needs to return to. The added benefit of Star Trek is it continues Journey forward over the expans of time from the 22nd to the 24th century telling so many stories throughout the century’s pass.

TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, & even Enterprise have so many stories to tell while still respecting the main timelines continuity one universe, a shared universe 20 years before Marvel took off with there’s.

Discovery has no respect for continuity, source material and Storytelling. The radical alteration of the Klingons design, the main character being an adopted sibling to Star Treks iconic character Spock, the War with Klingons that never happen in its history before kirks time, a new propulsion technology that’s never been even mentioned once in the original continuity.

I’m not a social justice worker looking for something to complain for the sake of  complaining. I’m just a fan who hates to see our beloved franchise turn into something so hallow, confused and soulless. with no heart or direction that helped previous installments  thrive through the years.

You don’t have to be a hardcore fan you can be someone who cares for storytelling, who cares about Legacy that is why this petition is here to save one man’s legacy who was Flawed and stubborn was able to allow us the privilege to see into a Future Of hope peace freedom and Wonder. A privilege that helped inspire generations of people who wanted to see this future flourished in reality.
