CBC News Executive Producer Told Staff to Avoid Using "Palestine" Even in Personal Exchange!

The CBC scandal is evolving. Evidence of institutionalized directives with clear intent to censor anything that has to do with "Palestine" are creeping up all over the internet. Canadians and global audience are shocked and disgusted by CBC’s insistence on holding to this anti-Palestinian bigotry. I would like to remind CBC again that Canadians are demanding fair coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

We sent a letter to CBC Ombudsman Jack Nagler requesting him to

• Explain why CBC failed to cover the 2021 HRW report on Israel.
• Launch an investigation into how the decision for not covering the 2021 HRW report was made, specifically, if there has been any political interference in making this decision.
• Commit and hold CBC accountable for providing unbiased, fair, and transparent reporting policy on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

As a publicly funded institution, CBC should “reflect the multicultural and multiracial nature of Canada” and contribute to a “shared consciousness and identity”.  By censoring the Palestinian side of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, CBC has offended and marginalized a large segment of Canadians who pride themselves on Canada’s role in the world as a peacekeeper and a supporter of international conventions on human rights.
