As provided for by Canon 212, the undersigned humbly beg Pope Francis to defend and protect the traditional liturgy of the Church as provided for by the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum,  of Pope Benedict XVI.   The Latin Liturgy, a beauty ever ancient and ever new, is drawing the young and the old to Christ.  As Pope Benedict stressed, this liturgy is an immemorial right of all Christians.  Rather than undercut it, Pope Francis must encourage all the bishops of the world to follow both the spirit and letter of Summorum Pontificum. This is urgent! "It is a matter of coming to an interior reconciliation in the heart of the Church," as Pope Benedict wrote.
