The title says it all, Mr Depp came out on top by telling his story to the world, dirty laundry and all. Being awarded 15 million with the cap at 350k for damages (Total awarded 10 million 350,000), Amber getting 2 million for defamation, due to one of Walden's Statements calling it a "Hoax", so in short Amber now owes Mr Depp a little over 8 million.
More over this is a MASSIVE win for ALL victims of DV, as it shows not all stories are black and white and are not all one sided.
This WIN for Depp makes him hirable again due to his name being cleared, as any studio would not receive backlash doing so. In short we will see him on the big screen again soon.
Amber on the other hand, her career is finished as she is now a non-hirable / non-desirable in the eyes of Hollywood.
As much of the hell she put Depp through, a small part of me wishes her well, to take a step back and look at the error of her ways and maybe grow / learn from it. Albeit it that's doubtful, as she has other legal battles coming her way later this year in Australia for perjury and she might have a case brought about her for a case of perjury in the states as well if they so choose to pursue it. All I can say is move on and heal for all parties involved.
