Launching Cartoon Network Classic - A Network Dedicated to 1992-2004 era Cartoon Network
The Issue
In recent years, more notably (and noticeably) past the 2008-2009 U.S. cable network TV season, Cartoon Network (or CN as its called now) has put more focus on their newer original programs such as The Amazing World of Gumball, Teen Titans Go, and We Bare Bears to name a few and other random bits of programming & movies that wouldn't fit in Cartoon Network's premise from 1992-2004. From start of the broadcast day at 6AM to 8PM when Adult Swim starts. And lets not forget the lack of the Friday's block.
Cartoon Network no longer airs episodes their original programs from the 90s/early 2000s such as Johnny Bravo, the original Powerpuff Girls and Codename: Kids Next Door to name a few. And they have completely reduced the original Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry blocks, and the various early incarnations of Scooby Doo have not been seen in an entirety since 2004, and Where Are You? stopped airing completely since 2012-13. I'm not trying to fix the current Cartoon Network, its beyond repair I do believe, but I would like for them to look back at what made them a ratings 'powerhouse' over a decade ago!
This petition is being created to urge Turner Broadcasting & Cartoon Network to launch a new sister network dedicated to their original premise during their inception & 'powerhouse era' where they air shows, promos, bumpers, and blocks (like Cartoon Cartoon Fridays) on the network 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: All "Cartoon Network Classic" (1992-2004). Since the Cartoon Network now wishes to move forward with newer programming leading the network, they have a huge following that wishes to see their old lineups and shows (and even movies). Classic CN means no show past 2008 needs to be seen on it, especially since not one prior to it can't be seen on the current Cartoon Network. No Adult Swim block either, air the classic programming from daytime through all hours of the night into the next day like CN used to.
