We need you to show up on Monday, July 19 at 6pm to the Carteret County Courthouse for the Commissioners Meeting.

We have been told by commissioners that citizens showing up to the meeting is what shows them the most that we the citizens are not in favor of the sale.

The cost has gone up 95% with the Commissioners getting rid of the special tax district to cover all costs as well as put money aside for future needs. Currently the system is operating at around 1/3 of its capacity and adding users is how we drive the cost down.

The "contract" that was supposed to be finalized after the last meeting, has yet to be finalized. Not the company I want running our water system when they can't even finalize a contract after months of negotiations. 

If the water system is sold we are guaranteed to pay more and more year after year for our water or we can keep the system and work on lowering the cost for a wonderful water system.
