Carrington’s Shopko is scheduled to close on May 12, 2019.  This business has been vital to our community.  It keeps our dollars local and increases our tax base. Our closest variety store will be 45 miles away and the distance will be a hardship for our elderly population.  Several people will be out of work and would possibly move from our community in search of a job.  Our store brings in people from the surrounding communities that also support other small businesses in our town.
