On April 07th, 2017, my brother Corey L. Adams, who was a retired Air Force veteran, was found deceased after being missing for 18 days. My brother was diagnosed with PTSD and Bipolar Disorder from traumatic experiences from being deployed 3 times to fight for our country. Initially for the first 8 days, the Milwaukee Police Department would not search for him, despite our efforts and persistence, we had to take matters into our own hands. Once his body was found, our family decided to take our hurt and pain and focus on making a change.

On February 20th, 2018, the Green Alert bill was passed in Wisconsin to labeled veterans diagnosed with a mental illness due to being in the military and deployed to a war. Since it has been in existence, the Green Alert has been activated in Wisconsin 5 times, with four successful returns of the veterans. Now our efforts go towards making the alert a federal law. Please take the time to share and spread the word about this petition to make sure the Green Alert becomes a federal law that can assist with locating missing veterans in a matter of hours, unlike my brother which he was found in 18 days.
