CUSD releasing new EIR on August 25...Please comment during the public comment period

In response to your concerns and to critical comments submitted on the Draft EIR, CUSD is redoing the DEIR, and has re-doubled their efforts to get stadium lights installed at CHS, regardless of cost or impacts to our environment and way of life.

The district has committed even more public money (4.5 million dollars) and resources to this project, and they have wrongly linked the issue of implementing late start to their push for the stadium lights. In holding late start hostage and delaying it for another year the district has put their desire for stadium lights above a policy proven to benefit ALL students.

BUT, we as members of the community will have another chance to weigh in on the stadium lights project when the new EIR from the district comes out on August 25, 2022

PLEASE use your voice to engage in the public comment period that will run from when the new EIR is released on August 25 through October 10, 2022.
