It has come to our attention that the Mayor's plan to eliminate the SHSAT and replace it with a racial quota will likely cover up systemic grade inflation in NYC public middle schools. We detail our findings in our new report on the SHSAT, 'SHSAT - The Canary in the Coal Mine'.
Last week, the Mayor's diversity panel issued a report recommending implementing racial quotas in NYC public elementary and middle schools with the intent to eliminate admissions based on academic performance, attendance, etc.
The DOE hopes to quietly eliminate all selective school admissions under the radar like in Brooklyn where they even removed auditions for a performing arts public middle school and replaced it with a lottery.
We need to become more organized. Please subscribe to our newly launched newsletter to stay informed about news and upcoming events (i.e. CEC meetings, etc.) regarding the DOE's efforts to lower academic standards in NYC public schools.
Reminder: Please donate at MeritFund.org to stop Assembly bill A2173 to eliminate the SHSAT. We are the only organization setup to collect and spend money to lobby against these bills. The Mayor and the DOE has unlimited resources to get it passed. We have not reached our fundraising goals.
