Bolton Cares is wholly owned by Bolton Council and receive just 1% from the Council to cover their wage bill. This means some workers will not get a penny extra salary increase this year and most will get below inflation pay rises.

Bolton Council workers from Chief Officers to front line workers will receive a minimum 2% pay rise this year. Bolton cares staff deliver a service to the most vulnerable residents of the Borough on our behalf and are amongst the lowest paid in the town.

We urge Bolton Council to reconsider their decision and ensure that Bolton Cares workers are paid a minimum increase of 2% in line with the minimum pay increase for Bolton Council workers.
