Dear friends,

We are the Community Outreach Program for Our Lady for Mount Carmel Church in Montclair, NJ.  We are a charitable non-profit organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

What is the Community Outreach Program, and what do our combined efforts accomplish?

C.O.P. for OLMC is committed to the betterment of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, supporting our local communities, especially to our homebound seniors, and to the eradication of hunger within Montclair and the surrounding communities.  We support Toni’s Kitchen, Human Needs Food Pantry, MESH Montclair, First Montclair House Senior Assisted Living, Montclair PBA Local 53, The Salvation Army, Saint Lucy’s Church, St. Agnes Church, Meals on Wheels for home-bound seniors, Bloomfield Presbyterian Church, Elizabeth Avenue Weequahic Church, to name a few.

OLMC was an open door when families found themselves in a time of need, and we are honored to continue that mission.  Monsignor Emmanuel Capozzelli enriched many households in many ways.  Assisting families by helping their children gain access to local schools, reaching out to local businesses to assist in food donations in any way possible. 

We are dedicated to restoring and maintaining, the self-esteem of all the people we serve within the community.  What truly advances our mission are donations and contributions from government and private organizations, along with donations collaborated within the community. The effective use of our resources has a wide impact, but most importantly, brings communities together for the greater good.

We believe that those we help become investors in our community, they will respond more responsibly. The ongoing pursuit of our goal and networking of this plan will lead to a positive change in the surrounding community and the people that live in it.

We are very fortunate to have had others pave a difficult road for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, through their strength, dedication and loyalty.  There is strength in numbers, and everyone is welcome to help and make a difference.
