!!PLEASE READ UPDATED INFORMATION WHICH INCLUDES FATHER TIMOTHY GRAFF EMAIL ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER!! We have made numerous phone calls to Father Timothy Graff, the Director of the Office of Human Concerns working directly with parishes and Social Concerns Committees. As yet Father has not returned our calls. We wanted to meet with him and explain in person that we are willing to work with him for the betterment of the people of the Archdiocese especially the people of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. According to Father Graff’s profile, he has been involved with community organizing and pastoral planning with the people of Bolivia. We assume that he has the ability to do the same for us. Does he understand that we too have people of all ages who love our church? We would hope that Father Graff will have the same concern for the parishioners of OLMC as he as shown elsewhere. Father Graff has the ability to rescind a decision that was made with no parish input. We were not given the opportunity to address the concerns of the Archdiocese. We think that our church, under the leadership of a new pastor, can become even greater than it has been in the past. We hope that Father’s experience working with Social Concerns Committees will be extended to us. We ask Father Graff to please return our call. Let us set up a meeting and discuss the future of OLMC. We are a faith filled congregation with a long history and place in the community. We are fighting for our faith community. As Pope Francis said,” Powerful people don’t want peace because they profit from war.” We do not want to be used for profit. WHY WEREN’T WE ASKED FOR FEEDBACK BEFORE THESE RECOMMENDATIONS WERE DEVELOPED? WE ASK EVERYONE WHO HAS SENT A LETTER TO MONSIGNOR HARMS AND ARCHBISHOP MYERS TO FORWARD IT TO FATHER TIMOTHY GRAFF OR CALL HIM. ASK FATHER TO PRACTICE WHAT HE HAS BEEN PREACHING FOR YEARS.
