Attention Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parishioners Friends, and Family

For those who attended the May 17th meeting with Msgr. Harmes, we cannot forget his unsympathetic and callous behavior toward the parishioners of OLMC as he was discussing the merger of Immaculate and Our Lady of Mount Carmel churches. He was not aware of our devotion to our church and the fighting spirit of our parishioners. The official statement from the archdiocese is Msgr. Harms has retired. We have been notified (by good authority) that Msgr. Harmes resigned over three weeks ago. He felt the pressure of our relentless “never give up attitude” and our continued activities such as press coverage, petitions, Eblast, and participation in a parade and processions, etc. was more than the archdiocese expected. We are getting the message out to all interested parties about Archbishop Meyer’s senseless decision in closing Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The pressure is working!!!
