A memorial to Llewelyn Bren be placed at Cardiff Castle

The Issue

We the undersigned would like to see a memorial placed at Cardiff Castle for the Welsh hero Llewelyn Bren who was unlawfully executed there without trial on the order of Hugh Despencer in 1318.

Llywelyn Bren was a Welsh nobleman of the minor royal house of the cantref of Senghenydd (previously known as Cantref Breiniol) and a descendant of Ifor Bach, his great grandfather. His father was Gruffudd ap Rhys.

We feel that our history is an integral part of our culture and the Welsh Lords of Senghenydd and Miskin played a large part within the history of Glamorgan and we would like to see them remembered.
