We’ve grown from 13 to 18 signatures since the last update! That’s five more voices saying captions are not optional; five more people standing up for safety, equality, and access. Momentum doesn’t always come in big leaps; sometimes it’s the steady climb that gets us to the top.
Today was also Celebrate Communication Day with NVRC at Springfield Town Center, a powerful reminder that accessibility and Deaf awareness matter to the whole community. We had hoped to pick up a few more signatures at the event, but every single conversation planted seeds. Awareness today becomes signatures tomorrow.
Here’s how you can help keep that wave rolling:
Share the petition, connecting our cause to the energy of today.
Tag one business or leader and ask: “Will you stand with #CaptionsForAll?”
Invite two friends to sign. If each of us did that tonight, we’d double by morning.
Eighteen voices today. Fifty voices soon. A hundred voices remembered. Together, we’ll make captions as standard as ramps and seatbelts.
