Dear Mayor Hill-Lewis,

I am writing to ask that the City of Cape Town please engage with Tom Ro Haven regarding their urgent land crisis.

For over 14 years, Tom Ro Haven has provided a safe haven for rescued horses while also supporting children and communities through education, outreach, and welfare programmes.

I understand they have been given a very short timeframe to secure new land, and now with only 52 days left. I am deeply concerned about the future of the horses and hundreds of program beneficiaries it will affect if a solution cannot be found.

Cape Town is a city built on compassion, resilience, and community spirit. I implore the City will to work with Tom Ro Haven to explore possible land options so that this important work can continue.

Kind regards,
