The protection for turtles crossing the road in the shore towns of South Jersey is either very poor or nonexistent! There are too many dead turtles on the sides of the roads--it is sad and it is damaging to the local ecosystem. Our beloved turtles could be saved with simple fencing along the roads if the county would make the change.
