Thank you for signing our petition advocating for better support for vulnerable populations.

Today, I want to share a real, urgent situation happening right here in our community.

Last week, I encountered Tracy, an elderly deaf woman, limping along the roadside in 91-degree heat.   Since then, I’ve visited her home multiple times.

What I found is heartbreaking:

Her living conditions are unsafe and unsanitary, with significant damage, poor sanitation, and a clear need for immediate help with cleaning, repairs, personal care (including diapers and bathing assistance), and basic groceries.

Tracy is kind, mentally alert, and simply struggling with mobility, deafness, and lack of support.

She has expressed fear and loneliness, saying most of her friends have passed away.

We have launched a fundraiser through The H2O Project (our registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit) to get her home cleaned, repaired, and safe as quickly as possible. We’ve already secured a skilled local helper (Darrell) and are coordinating volunteers.
