Let’s get more signatures for this petition

Hi everyone,

Thank you to every single one of you who has signed and shared. In just a few days, we’ve officially crossed 4,100 signatures, and City Hall is not going to be able to ignore this.

Two major developments to share:

1. Investigative Media Interest: Following the viral momentum of our bill and this petition, local investigative journalists in Los Angeles have reached out to look into LADWP’s summer billing spikes and the stories being shared in this petition. Broadcast investigative interest puts direct public scrutiny on utility leadership and city officials that they can't simply sweep under the rug. 
2. Reaching Out to the City Controller: We are preparing to formally deliver our petition demands, itemized statements, and community comments directly to City Controller Kenneth Mejia’s office to request an independent audit of LADWP’s pass-through fees and tiered summer pricing. 
   Our next immediate goal is 5,000 signatures. Crossing 5,000 gives us massive leverage when sitting down with reporters and presenting our data to city officials.
