Canterbury city council are trying to impose a 34% rent increase on the Fishslab gallery in Whitstable.   This is a not-for-profit gallery run by volunteers.   This popular gallery gives local artists a space to exhibit at an affordable price and also runs community projects to enable the arts to expand within the local area.   In the current economic climate with very low interest rates and little growth it seems excessive that the council should be asking for such a high rent increase.   Please sign this petition and share.
