The campaign has seen a healthy growth in supporters since it re-opened. 2615 people have now added their voice to the campaign. Thank you.
Armando's current situation is reasonably stable in terms of operating, his newly re-built radio shack is operational and he has been able to clear the engineering environment from his living space caused by the move and rebuild.
He is gaining the respect and friendship of his neighbours and has enjoyed the Christmas period. He is looking forward to a great new year, free from loneliness and with the ability to manage his health and well being.
All thanks to people who have stood up for him. People like you.
Thank you, wherever you are.

So why is Armando's Campaign Continuing?
He isn't quite there yet. He remains subject to what he sees as political interference in the way he uses his rented council property.
This must support his diverse needs according to the national planning policy framework. This is all he has ever asked for.
The information his experience has provided, when put together with that of others, has enabled the identification of a number of offensive and undesirable behaviours occurring in typical British communities.
These have affected people like Armando for a long time and could still affect him and others like him, unless the problem becomes more widely recognised. The ability of council workers, to understand their own policies and stand up for his rights, like you did, he sees as being a very long way off. He continues to campaign for change because he doesn't want what happened to him, to happen to others.
His struggle could have been over in March 2017 but has been extended. He has had the stressful experience of moving exacerbated by the need to assert his rights after orders to take down his new aerials were issued throughout 2017, This despite promises.
The experience is going into 2018 for the same reason. The most recent issue is the deferral of his application for planning permission, pending a planning committee meeting due to emerge on 9th January. He thinks the report that triggered this (only available to him on 21st December) is not fit for purpose.
We think that is inappropriate given the importance of getting this right. He has again had to organise a challenge to the process to prevent it being railroaded into a decision that would be unsafe for him.
His request for a review of the process by the CEO of the City Council, and East Kent Housing have received no further response.
Please could you share this as far and wide as possible?
May your new year be both happy and prosperous!
