I will be going live on my channel to give an update on the petition and John Yates. Also, to clarify some misconceptions about the petition. I do not receive any money that is donated to Change.org. If you read the information on the website, it clearly states that all funds go to Change.org to promote the petition. In fact, I have lost money doing this. I made a website and the list goes on and on. I have spent hours and hours working on this. It's also very toxic and consumes a lot of energy. So quit lying and saying that I’m making money from the petition donations.
Check out this link, the money doesn't go to me. Do your research. https://www.change.org/l/us/chipping-in-explained
- 1. “Where does the money go? How does the contribution help my petition?”
When someone chips in to promote a petition it helps us share it with wide audiences of action-takers in the Change.org community. Each contribution helps cover the costs of distributing the petition to hundreds, thousands, even millions more people in the Change.org community, many of whom go on to sign the petition. Together, the signatures help the petition gain media attention, influence decision makers and propel the petition toward victory. - In short: by chipping in, a supporter can help the petition continue to gain momentum, and get it closer to winning.
- 2. “So, the money that is chipped in doesn’t go directly into a petition starter’s bank account?”
That’s correct. Our Promoted Petitions tool is not a typical online fundraising tool. We know that fundraising for an issue is incredibly important and we’re glad there are tools out there that can help. - Promoting a petition on Change.org fills a different critical need for campaigns to be successful: it specifically helps the petition be seen by far more people than would otherwise see it through standard social media shares.
So, yes, I appreciate those that donated to Change.org to promote the petition. However, I don't appreciate those that are lying on me and saying that I'm getting the money. That's how Change.org makes money. I can't tell them how to run their platform, and there isn't a setting that allows me to turn off that feature.
Moreover, I am being threatened and reported by John Yates and his supporters. I have the video clips to prove it. Furthermore, this morning I woke up to more attacks and people disparaging my name. All of this doesn’t come as a surprise because it’s just another attempt to silence me or should I say us. Throughout time those who speak out against racism are attacked by some Whites and sellouts or black people with a different agenda.
For example, one person, known as the basement avatar, disparages my name to get subscribers and money. Out of her own mouth, she stated that I have a bigger platform, which is true. So, she knows that speaking on my name will get her attention. Since she has been on Youtube, she has been using my name for clicks and coins.
We should be sticking together, but of course, there are always sells outs among us that do stuff for their benefit. And that is what John wants, divisiveness, for black people to fight each other instead of him. So shame on the basement avatar for her divisive behavior. Well, it worked; last night she finally reached 1k subs by lying on me; trying to discourage people from signing our petition after all of the time and effort we put into this.
We will continue to push forward, but of course, it’s always a slap in the face when it is one of our own people pushing an agenda to stop an important movement/cause.
To end on a positive note, we are almost at our goal of 1800 signatures and we're only halfway through the week. Good job, everyone.
