we the people, (boat dwellers, joggers, walkers, cyclists, fisherman, holidayers, canal users) have witnessed a mass resurgence in wildlife along the canal and river banks in recent weeks.

species of amphibian mammal and bird that have not been seen in a generation have returned to their natural habitats as a result of this Corona pandemic.

we politely request that the canal and river trust and the environment agency stop/cease all grass cutting and bankside trimming  during this apocalyptic event in order to let the wildlife flourish.

Grass cutting should be kept to a minimum, only where visibility along the towpath or water line is poor.

an opportunity to help nature like this should not be wasted.
