Dear Canadians, Americans, and fellow friends across the world. This is amazing, the petition is spiking and information is being shared to the masses. Our efforts continue to grow as my little team of university friends prepare to push out an ad campaign featuring a line of political cartoons denouncing C-51, a PSA just filmed yesterday (Fri. Feb. 27) and infographics in development. It's a beautiful thing when people not even in Canada, unaffected by Canadian politics, feel the fervour to sign this petition. Realize that this means something very, very important. This means that people around the world still have faith in this nation, that we the people will continue to fight to the end for the Charter-enforced civil liberties, rights and freedoms we so deeply cherish when we proudly say "I am Canadian." We are not just a series of stats and numbers that blindly swear allegiance to the flag. We are Canadian, and we will stand on guard for thee: the unspoken for, the forgotten, the marginalized and disenfranchised. As we move forward, my friends, my Canadian family, REMEMBER. REMEMBER THE STRUGGLES OF OUR FRIENDS ALL OVER THE WORLD, who continue to resist OPPRESSION and TOTALITARIANISM, and still look to this land for HOPE and INSPIRATION.
