Please continue to share it, as the news has only been getting more alarming.  In particular, this is out yesterday (19 July) from the CBC: Nuclear threat from Ukraine war prompts Ottawa to update plans for catastrophe.  It includes the line, "Ottawa was also taking steps to finalize a protocol for advising the Canadian public of an incoming ballistic missile".

Therefore, please don't let anyone tell you there's no risk of the Ukraine War erupting into a nuclear war involving Canada.  It's official.

Furthermore, there is something more subtle in the article which I find equally alarming.  It talks about the 'Continuity of Constitutional Government plan, intended to ensure essential executive, legislative and judicial processes can take place during a major calamity.'  I don't see any mention of protecting civilian lives in Canada: just ensuring that the Government will still be in charge of whatever's left after any 'major calamity'. 

The officials seem quite satisfied with their plans (''we're in decent shape") despite lack of mention of civilian survivability, which should have been their first moral responsibiltiy.  Do you feel that you and your family are 'in decent shape' to survive a nuclear attack?  To express such satisfaction with a plan for Government surviving a 'major calamity', without mention of how civilians are supposed to survive it, makes me feel like we're considered expendable.

Please don't wait for an incoming nuclear missile or depend on your Government to keep you safe.  Please share the petition to stop our military involvement in Ukraine and thereby get the missiles pointed away from us.
