Kwey,
Watch this June 21, 2017 video and you will see the Minister for Women and Gender Equality, member of parliament for Peterborough and the Kawarthas, Maryam Monsef vote to pass a version of the Indian Act that perpetuates sex discrimination in the Indian Act.
Indigenous women such as Jeannette Corbiere Lavell, Yvonne Bedard, Sandra Lovelace Nicolas, Sharon McIvor, and Lynn Gehl have worked for over 45 years challenging the sex discrimination through Canada's legal system culminating in three amendments to the Indian Act in 1985, 2010, and 2017, yet it continues to persist.
Don't be fooled by the Liberal non-sense that there is the need to consult on this matter. A right is a right and is not subject to consultation!
Act with us and demand that Canada meet the recent January 11, 2019 United Nations ruling re Sharon McIvor and the need to eliminate ALL the sex discrimination inherent in the 6(1)a and 6(1)c hierarchy.

Canada and Monsef should be embarrassed to be treating Indigenous women so poorly.
