Hi folks, I have yet to see official word from one of the Consortium partners, but it would appear from this linked video of Elizabeth May, the our hope of an English Consortium debate has been dashed. Mr. Harper and Mr. Mulcair have seem to have succeeded in their efforts of denying the CBC, CTV, Global, and Tele-Quebec of carrying and English debate into the homes of 11 million Canadians (based on 2011 numbers). It is very surprising that Mr Mulcair and Mr Harper would ally themselves in denying voters the opportunity to see and hear the leaders of the major political parties contrast the various options available. As Elizabeth May states, this choice of Mr Mulcair and Mr. Harper goes beyond whether or not the Green Party is invited, straight to the lack of respect for our major public broadcasters and the voters who have yet to make up their minds. To paraphrase, it isn't about the Green Party, it is about democracy. Mr Mulcair and Mr Harper should have respected that, and us, and shown up to what has traditionally been they key event before voting day. Thank you for all your support on this petition, - John
