Hi folks, When I woke up today, this petition was at around 20 signatures. I was really excited by the time I left for work, because that had risen to 50. I thought on my way to work, that my goal of having 100 by Friday night, that would be something. I had intended to ask you all to ask 1 more person to sign. I started this petition on a Wednesday in the middle of summer. So I had a modest goal. In eight hours, the number has approached 7000. Far surpassing my short term goal. Thank you. Thank you so much for taking an interest in this topic, and these debates. Whatever your political stripe, it is clear we all want our politicians to show up and talk things out. A common refrain on political shows is "Does this thing have legs?" I don't know, but we certainly have momentum. Thank you all for signing up, this is really inspiring. I would ask you all to please share with your friends and family, and let's get these debates guaranteed. We shouldn't have to petition to get our leaders to show up to major events. But that is where things are. For my part, I intend to call each campaign HQ tomorrow and ask how many signatures it will take for them to commit to the October debates. Thank you again, - John P.S.
