Discontinue the use of animals for testing purposes

Discontinue the use of animals for testing purposes
The Issue
Animal testing is the use of non-human animals in experiments. Research that is conducted on the use of animals includes genetic, developmental biology, and behavioural studies as well as biomedical research, xenotransplantation, drug testing, and toxicology tests (including cosmetics testing). More than 100 million animals annually suffer and die in cruel chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics tests. Not only is this practice inhumane, but it is also very inefficient. The Food and Drug Administration researched and reported that 92 out of every 100 drugs that pass animal tests fail in humans.
"The world doesn’t need another eyeliner, hand soap, food ingredient, drug for erectile dysfunction, or pesticide so badly that it should come at the expense of animals’ lives." - PETA
This unethical practice is silencing these beings who never had a chance to speak up for themselves. Sign the petition and act as a voice for those who suffer.
