Yesterday I received an email from Griffin Sokal, Director of Creative, Brand Marketing & Partnerships for Canada's Walk of fame. It was not the letter I was hoping for but it also wasn't a letter I've been worried about ( I may or may not have been nervous to open the email) I will keep this petition going for as long as it takes to get Chi his well deserved spot on Canada's Walk of Fame. I will post the letter below, along with my response. Once again, keep sharing the petition and nominating our Piggy as often as you can. Let's strum those heartstrings and until they want it as bad as us.

1-2-SNFU!

Hi Patrick,

Thank you for contacting Canada’s Walk of Fame.  We appreciate and accept all nominations and add them to our list of possible Inductees for careful consideration, so thank you very much for your suggestion of Kendall “Chi Pig” Chinn.

We receive numerous nomination requests on a consistent basis.  And while we will not be having our annual induction ceremony this year due to COVID-19, we will review all incoming nominations for upcoming years.

Thank you again, Patrick.

Thank you for your reply. I honestly wasn't even expecting one directly to me. I assumed there wouldn't be an outdoor event this year due to Covid-19 but that there will not be inductees announced, I did not know or understand? If this is the case, I implore you and your team of dedicated Canadians to hold our hearts with yours and feel the love and loss of our community. With the year everyone has had and the staggering loss of life from both Covid-19 and the Opioid Epidemic that has been felt across the community both locally and nationally, announcing Chi Pig as a Legend inductee would definitely help in raising the spirits of many across our wonderful home. It would be the first win many of us have had in a brutally long time. Of course there can be no outdoor event but even just knowing that he will be memorialized in the coming year and that we did it, would be enough to bring a smile to hundreds of thousands across the world, not just Canada, as this amazing spirit deserves to be recognized for all he's done and for all he means to us.

We've all lost so much and it would be amazing to have such a win, something to look forward to and something so important to so many.

Have a safe and wonderful day

Lots of love

Patrick Long
