Dear Supporters....

In the last update I indicated that the petition would remain open for ongoing discussions and updates. As Minister Dion announced in December, the government has BEGUN working with the provinces and territories. Welcome as his announcement was, we must keep in mind that the Protocol has NOT yet been ratified, though it is expected to happen before the end of 2017. For that reason alone the petition should remain open until ratification has taken place -- and in case the campaign needs to be resumed. New updates will be posted as needed.
