Safeway Canada and London Drugs have now made protected hours for seniors and vulnerable people!

More fantastic news! We are very pleased to share that Safeway Canada and London Drugs have announced protected hours for seniors and vulnerable people! London Drugs has also announced one-on-one support for seniors who require assistance. This is wonderful news as it means most of the stores we have petitioned have now created protected hours!

This petition had been posted to the social media pages for Walmart, Safeway, London Drugs and Costco on March 19 prior to these announcements so although we cannot quantify how much our petition has contributed to these decisions, we like to think all of your support was helpful towards showing public support for these changes! So thanks again to everyone for signing and sharing!

We still have not heard from Costco Canada and this is the last major grocery/pharmacy chain whom we are petitioning. We would like to continue petitioning them towards all of our requests for protected shopping time, retention of supply for seniors and vulnerable people to purchase, improvements towards item limits to prevent hoarding and to create options for grocery delivery or pickup.
