Subject: Military Memorial 1914/1918


One would like to take this opportunity to profoundly praise the newly elected Kent County Councillor for Folkestone West, Mr John Baker (Reform Party).

Who never hesitated to place in writing his support to turn the outside of the Victorian Latrine into a First World War Memorial - located at the top of the Road of Remembrance, that Commonwealth Soldiers used before marching down on their way to the battle-fields.

Thousands upon thousands died in service of their country.
We are deeply indebted to the KCC member, Mr John Baker.
