Revise Cambridge Lakes Community Declaration - "Article 9.09 SHEDS" from 10 square feet to 80 square feet

The Issue

The only way we're going to get properly-sized sheds in Cambridge Lakes is by the Cambridge Lakes residents uniting!!!!

By signing the petition, you'll be directly contributing to making positive change in Cambridge Lakes and increase the home values

According to Article 11.02 Amendment of the Cambridge Lakes Association:

"the provisions of this Community Declaration may be amended, abolished, modified, enlarged, or otherwise changed in whole or in part the affirmative vote of Voting Members representing at least seventy-five precent of the total votes OR by an instrument executed by Owners of at least seventy-five Percent (75%) oft the Dwelling Units."

That means, WE CAN MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN!

According to Article 9.09 our Community Declaration:

SHEDS: Except as permitted pursuant to this Section, no shed, outbuilding, gazebo or other temporary or permanent structure (other than a home) shall be constructed or installed on a Detached Home Lot or Duplex Home Lot. A shed may be installed or constructed on a Detached Home Lot or Duplex Home Lot, provided, that the plans therefor are submitted to the Board in advance of such installation or construction and the plans are approved, in writing, by the Board and provided, further, that any such shed shall comply with the following:

(a) The appearance and color of the shed shall be compatible with that of the home on the lot;

(b) The shed is located adjacent to, or is attached to the rear of, the home; and

(c) The floor area of the shed is no more than ten (10) square feet.

YOU READ THAT RIGHT! 10 SQUARE FEET!

That won't fit a lawn mower and grill, let alone garbage bins.

All we're simply asking, is for Article 9.09 (c) to read ... "eighty (80) square feet."

Join the wall of shame by uploading examples of why you think this change would be good.

Streets full of displaced cars, garages full of unstorable items, and neighborhood eyesores!

View the wall of shame.
