Mill Road Depot Development Control Forum request

We the undersigned petition the council to open a Development Control Forum for the Mill Road Depot (17/2245/FUL) application on the following topics:
1. Creating significantly more public, open and permeable walking and cycling access to the Chisholm Trail where it passes alongside the Mill Road Depot site. Improving people's perception of personal security while using the Trail. The current proposal is hemmed in between a fence and a blank wall (as shown in the image), and hard to access.
2. Reducing traffic congestion generated by the site and increase potential for affordable housing by reducing the number of car parking spaces on-site.
We are not opposed in-principle to the development. We propose the following remedies to our objections:
1. Create additional ways for the public to access the Chisholm Trail by walking or cycling, ways which are easy to use, along natural desire lines, built to good standards with proper visibility splays and attractive landscaping. Ensure that the Trail is overlooked with natural surveillance so it feels welcoming and usable, especially after dark.
2. Reduce the number of car parking spaces on the site and instead use those resources for other purposes, such as providing more affordable housing, open public space, reducing the costs of housing, or any other reasonable use.
