The intersection of Lakeville Hwy and Stage Gulch Rd. (CA-116 and Lakeville Hwy) is extremely busy and dangerous.  Thousands of cars pass through the intersection on a daily basis yet there is no traffic light to direct the flow or cars.  Cars will wait five to ten minutes just for the chance of an opening to make a turn. This causes tempers to flare and people start to take chances as they feel pressured by the cars behind them and then wrecks happen.   My business, Ernie's Tin Bar, sits on the corner of the intersection.  We see all the wrecks that happen here and the building has been hit by several of them,  Luckily no one here has been hurt but we fear for our customers and ourselves.  Drivers on the road have not been this lucky, just this week there have been three wrecks and over the years there have been dozens including major injuries and fatalities.  Lakeville Hwy is one of the most dangerous roads in the state; it has many traffic accidents and several fatalities a year, and has become known by locals as Blood Alley.  For years we have been trying to get a light here to no avail.  We are petitioning Caltrans to finally put a traffic light at this intersection.  Not only would this make the intersection safer but would make all of Lakeville Hwy safer by slowing traffic down.  It is only a matter of time before there is another fatality here.
