In recent weeks, leaders and communities throughout California have re-affirmed our commitment to a just and sustainable world, and to taking actions to protect the most vulnerable among us and oppose the prejudicial proposals of the Trump Administration. 

Now, it is time to put our money where our mouth is.  The people, and public workers, of California, should not in any way finance, support, or allow our money to be used for the destructive Dakota Access Pipeline. (DAPL)

The pipeline proposal not only threatens the health of the planet and the safety of the drinking water, it also represents environmental racism and disrespect of Tribal treaty rights..   

I am a member of CalPERS, and do not want my money used to fund Dakota Access Pipe Line. I call on CalPERS to immediately act to fully divest from any involvement in DAPL.
