Masking the whole community

Help us provide masks to the whole community by donating to our gofundme campaign.  We're very close to meeting our goal, and will be putting in an order for as many masks as we can at the end of the week!

100% of donations will be used to provide N95 masks for distribution through Foodbank (except in Victoria, where the government is already providing free N95 masks).

Quality masks are expensive, and should be easily accessible by everyone, regardless of financial means.

Survey Results
Thank you for responding to our survey - we've had over 1,000 responses - with some eye-opening results.

Over ¾ of those surveyed are dissatisfied with the government’s current management of the COVID-19 pandemic and an overwhelming response of over 97% of those surveyed agreeing that “we as a community have a collective responsibility to protect one another by wearing masks”. 

In general, those surveyed are not satisfied with the current pandemic management and have witnessed that government “encouragement” and “strong recommendations” to wear masks are not effective. Further, there is significant support for a range of government actions such as free n95/p2 masks, subsidised hepa air purifiers and public health campaigns.

Government should also note that supporting businesses in taking steps to reduce transmission is likely to lead to consumer confidence and an increase in economic activity.

We will be using these results for further advocacy work in the coming weeks, so thank you again for taking the time to respond.
