✨ THE BILL HAS PASSED! ✨

We are beyond proud to share that the Animal Welfare Act and Related Legislation Amendments Bill 2025 has officially been PASSED in the Northern Territory Parliament today!

As part of this Bill, a Code of Practice for Boarding Kennels, Establishments and Doggy Daycares has been included, along with stronger laws to protect animals and our furry companions across the NT.

We were honoured to attend Parliament today to witness this unforgettable moment. Hearing the words “The I’s have it” and knowing the Bill was unanimously agreed to is something we will never forget.

This is a surreal and deeply emotional milestone for Evie’s Bark and for our beautiful Princess Evie. Her bark has been heard loud and clear. 💜

Tonight, as we reflect on the 1 year, 5 months and 19 days since we lost our gorgeous Princess Evie, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support we’ve received on this journey.

💜 A huge thank you to every single one of our incredible supporters of our Evie’s Bark Petition. Your signatures were the voice that helped made this possible. Together, you stood up for change and today that change has been delivered. The Northern Territory Government has listened! 

Please give your own furbabies the biggest of hugs tonight… for Evie, for all the innocent lives we’ve lost, and for their brighter future. Thanks to this Bill, they are now safer than ever. 🐶🐾

On Thursday, the Animal Welfare Act and Related Legislation Amendments Bill 2025 will be formally signed into law. Once this happens, we will be closing our petition and proudly marking it as a victory.
